2011-2012 Planned events
*Bowling party- In the winter, the PTO will rent Goshen Lanes for an afternoon of free family bowling. *Back-to-school dance- In September, the PTO will host a free family dance.
*Fall Spaghetti Dinner and Hoe Down- Celebrate the harvest and cooler weather with us.
Spring Pow Wow- This is a great outdoor festival with games, giant inflatables, food, fun, music,raffles, and car show.
Assemblies- The PTO pays for several assemblies for our school every year. From theater productions to hands-on science experiments, the PTO provides cultural and aducational enrichment for our students.
*Walk-To-School Day- In the fall, the PTO organizes a day for students to walk to school. The students (and parents are welcome) meet early, enjoy a healthy snack and drink, and walk to school as a large group.
Staff and Teacher Appreciation- The first week in May the PTO formally recognizes the hard work and great effort all the teachers and staff of Dohron Wilson Elementary put forth for our students.

Third Annual Community Pow Wow In Planning Stages
Mark your calendars now, May 5th will be this years Pow Wow. This event is amazing and grows every year. There will be games, inflatables, food, raffles, vendors, music and so much more. To put on an event of this size we need all hands on deck so please contact a PTO officer to sign up to help. Any and all help is appreciated. This event is for not only the students and staff but families and the Mechanicsburg community are welcome. Spread the word.

PTO Meetings
PTO meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the library.
Just a Reminder
We all need to do our part to help the environment. Located throughout the school are recycling bins for all the students and staff to use. Outside in the parking lot are two containers you may use to recycle your papers from home. Not only is it a great way to Go Green but the school also earns money.
